I thought I had all my mixes lined up this year, and this one just sort of evolved and I heard a distinct sound emerge - lots of emotion, lots of anthems, lots of joy, a couple of scary thoughts expressed out loud, and a few tinges of regret. You know, like most trips to your local watering hole, especially round this time of year. I am pretty certain that, aside from Ella Fitzgerald, the Pogues have made more appearances on my mixes than any other act. That sounds just fine to me.
