As I have done each year, I usually put together at least a couple of quieter, acoustic, folk / country tinged mixes,and here's the first one for 2011. Title for the comp is swiped from a lyrics one of my all-time favorite non-traditional Christmas-themed songs, Houses On The Hill, by Whiskeytown, included here as an earlier rendition that surfaced on the reissue that came out a few years back for Stranger's Almanac.
